Analog Signal Input HART Module: KT-AIH16 is 16 channels, Analog Input Card. All channels can be individually used as current input and they all support HART protocol with windows-based configurator software.

Digital Signal Input Module: KT-DI32 is a 32-channel Digital Input Card. Each channel can be individually used as Input to receive indication and display actual states of all input lines on the front panel LEDand support time-tag.

Analog Signal Input Module: KT-AI16 consists of 16 channels, Analog Input Card. All channels can be individually used as current or voltage input by specifying what configuration is needed, it can also be calibrated by windows application software.

Analog Signal Output Module: KT-AO16 is a 16-channel Analog Output Card; each channel can be individually configured to work in output current or output voltage mode. Therefore one of these seven modes can be used for specifying what configuration is needed and should be selected.

Resistance Temperature Detector Module: KT-RTD16 is a 16-channel Resistance Temperature Detector Card. This card detects 16 channels RTD in 3-wire mode by injecting 0.5 mA current to RTD lines and can be calibrated by windowsapplication software in 2 ranges.

Digital Signal Output Module: KT-DO32 is a 32-channel Digital Output Card. Each output channel also grants the benefit of read-back through the circuitry which provides a high level of integrity check during issuing output commands. It also supports open loaded detection.

KTC DCS has a software package for PC’s and controller installations. This package is divided into 5 parts:

1. Local Controller Unit (LCU)This sub-system is responsible to gather analog/digital data from IO boards and performs control routines and loops (such as inter-locks and PID loops) and sequence controls. This unit can handle all sorts of process controls such as, Logic control, Sequence control, Computational algorithms, Control algorithms and Simulation. And also supports:

Full redundant of capabilities

Supports IEC 61131-3 programming languages

All kinds of protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and CAN

Optional human machine interface (HMI )

Time Tag (1ms)

2. Data Acquisition Server (DAS)DAS is responsible for the communication between LCU and OWS. In some applications the DAS software can also be redundant and run on two different computers. This subsystem receives the event messages from LCU and analyzes them for alarm handling.

3. Operating Work Station (OWS)

The OWS is an interface between users and DCS systems. By using this system via various displays, the operator can handle all his actions. Different types of displays allow the operator to easily handle a large amount of data in different textures and graphical formats. For each control loop, OWS allows the operator to perform all normal control functions and monitoring the results of these actions.

For each function available in OWS there is an access flag that must be set by engineers during the configuration phase, so users of these systems (Operators, Engineers, Supervisors) have different levels of access for their operation.
Different types of displays available in these systems are Process display, Group display, Object display, Trend display, Alarm list display, Event list display

4. Historical Server (HIS)

For historical applications and analysis historical data, it is required to take samples from real time data and then archive them in a database. The data can be re-loaded from databases and historical applications can be undertaken. Usually Microsoft SQL server is used as a database engine for storing data. The HIS package connects to this server for showing data in graphical trends.

5. Engineering Work Station (EWS)

EWS is a suitable place for configuration of the DCS system. The system operator can define or edit all parts of the system, including LCU, DAS, OWS, HIS, and all other Subsystems in the DCS including their different libraries.

The configuration consists of:

System architecture and station relatives.

Process databases and related parameters.

Different type of process displays.

Different type of graphical blocks.

Programming control routines and loops.

Users, user groups, and their accessibility features.

Alarm/Event, Network and Printers.

Different type of graphical blocks.

Programming control routines and loops.

Users, user groups, and their accessibility features.

Alarm/Event, Network and P
